FROM FILE TO FINISHED
Set the width and height your image needs, or start with a practical preset. Keep the aspect ratio to preserve its proportions, check the new dimensions, and download the result—all on your device.
Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP. The original width and height help you decide how much to resize it.
Enter a width or height in pixels, or choose a preset. Keep the aspect ratio enabled to calculate the matching dimension automatically.
Check the resized image and save it to your device. If a form also limits the file size, continue with Compress to Size.
SMALL TOOL. USEFUL DIFFERENCE.
Prepare an image for a space that needs a specific width or height, without opening a full image editor.
The aspect ratio lock links width and height so your subject stays naturally proportioned as you resize.
Reducing dimensions lowers the number of pixels to encode and can help reduce file size. Pair resizing with compression for a tight upload limit.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Answers before you hit download.
Keep the aspect ratio lock enabled and change one dimension. The tool calculates the other dimension from the original proportions. Turning the lock off allows a custom width and height but may stretch or squash the image.
No. Enlarging creates more pixels by interpolation, but it cannot recover detail missing from the source. For the clearest result, use a sufficiently large original and resize down when possible.
Resizing controls pixel dimensions; compression controls how the image is encoded. A 1000-pixel-wide image does not have one predictable file size. If you need a result below 100 KB, 500 KB, or another limit, use Compress to Size.
